SCSU School of Business Launches Groundbreaking AI POWERED Business Xcelerator



About us.





The SCSU Business Xcelerator, in collaboration with the MVP ACCELERATOR, INC., will provide technical assistance, advanced business education, and access to university resources to support the long-term sustainability of MWBE small businesses and micro-enterprise firms in the City of New Haven. Participants will benefit from the expertise of undergraduate and graduate talent, faculty, and industry professionals, access to co-working spaces, strategic guidance on technology integration, and hosted community learning events series on campus featuring industry and subject matter experts. The Xcelerator's inclusive entrepreneurship education model is designed for firms with annual revenues between $100,000 and $250,000 and 1-3 employees, aiming to empower entrepreneurs to overcome systemic barriers to innovation within their communities.

AI, with its ability to process vast amounts of data and generate insights, can be a force multiplier in addressing systemic challenges, promoting inclusivity, and leveling the playing field for marginalized communities. Seizing this window of opportunity, the MVP Accelerator Inc. (“MVP”) has built an (AI-powered) ecosystem for technical education and training, entrepreneurial (support online), and access to seed funding to develop viable product concepts generated during the program:



Rapid Prototyping





With generative design tools, students ultimately are able develop design mockups and concept art faster. This is a critical step towards the development of innovative prototypes, optimizing both form and function with AI's computational capabilities. Once complete, in phase II of the programming, MVP then introduces the students to its qualified Hacker/Engineers-in-Residence (HIR/EIR) program. This connection is made for SOB XCELERATOR participants who lack the technical talent to further develop their emerging product concepts beyond the mvp stage. Technical supports provide by the HIR/EIR include but are not limited to: rapid prototyping and development of new product lines leveraging AI Tools.
